Parking and Visitor Guidelines
Visitor Check-In
All visitors during the school day should check in
at the front desk of the main entrance (Door 1).
A valid government-issued photo ID card is required. Visitors should schedule an appointment with the staff member they wish to see. If you have not made arrangements in advance, a school administrator may prohibit visits to avoid disruption to the educational environment and to protect the safety and welfare of the students and staff.
- Visitors will be accompanied during their appointment.
- Visitors must comply with Board of Education policies and school regulations.
- Students may not schedule visitors during the school day.
- A parent/guardian who is picking up a student during the school day must have prior authorization from the Health Services Office or Assistant Principal.
Visitor Parking
Niles West has designated parking areas for visitors. Visitors should not park in staff or student spaces during school hours,
There are no parking restrictions on weekends and non-school days.
Parking Lots
Enter parking lots from Oakton St. or Gross Point Rd.
- Visitors register their vehicle at the Safety desk when they check in.
- Students must park in the designated lot on the southwest side of campus (Door 24).
During evenings and weekends, visitors may park in any open space in the lots.
- Use the main entrance (Door 1) for events held in the auditorium or in the front of the building.
Gross Point Lot (rear of the building)
During the school day, parking is for staff only.
During evenings and weekends, visitors may park in any open space in the lot.
- Use Door 13 for events held in the athletic wing or rear of the building.
